Biography
Kristan Hyde and together with friend Matthew Cattermole we form a male vocal/guitar duo called The Humbuckers.
The duo have been playing, recording and performing together for over 10 years. They formed The Humbuckers in 2008 after spending five years as part of a live four-piece band. As a result of the hundreds of venues we have played at across the country – including venues in Birmingham, Bolton, Huddersfield, Manchester, Oldham and Stockport – we have gained valuable experience which has moulded us into accomplished musicians.
As The Humbuckers, they pride themselves on the reputation they have built over the years as one of the country’s best vocal/guitar duos. They have a friendly and professional approach to our performances, coupled with a genuine appreciation and passion for music which we believe shines through when they perform and helps everyone to have a fun and memorable experience.
Over the years The Humbuckers’ song catalogue has grown to include many well known and well loved songs including I Saw Her Standing There, Sex on Fire, Summer of ‘69, Jumpin’ Jack Flash and Human. We are continually updating and introducing new songs to our catalogue to ensure that when we perform, there are plenty of great songs for all to enjoy.
The equipment they use is top of the range. They use custom made Gibson Les Paul guitars along with Marshall JVM 410C guitar amplifiers. This combination along with there 1000w-a-side EV speakers really creates a superb sound.
They are confident that we can fulfil the needs of anyone looking to book semi-live musicians/DJ for their function because of the sheer joy we derive from our performances.
