LICENSED to THRILL perform completely LIVE – they do not use backing tracks.
All songs are linked together so there are no embarrasing 5-second gaps in-between each song. It’s a full-on, mashup-city, dynamic, jumping-up-and-down, party-rockin’ set from start to finish. Your guests will be dancing all night and we’ll get home shattered.
Layer upon layer of harmony -it makes a huge difference to the live sound.
Loads of on-stage energy.
Based around the London / Hertfordshire / Buckinghamshire / Cambridgeshire / Berkshire / Essex / Kent / Surrey / Bedfordshire / Sussex / Middlesex / Northamptonshire / Oxfordshire area, but can be booked to play anywhere in the UK or overseas.
Minimum 6-piece (bass guitar, keyboards, drums, lead guitar, two lead singers) but expandable up to 12-piece (adding an extra female singer, tenor sax, trumpet, extra male singer, baritone sax, percussionist).
They are working constantly all over the UK and can incorporate many different (superbly put together) costumed themes into their various shows. LICENSED to THRILL also provide a variety of different acts:
Back To The 80’s (1980’s Set)
Are you a child of the 80’s? Remember going to see ‘Dirty Dancing’ or ‘Back To The Future’? Back To The 80’s are a live (and very lively) band, all dressed in completely over-the-top 1980’s costumes who will take you right back to those times.
They play all the great 1980’s party songs from Wham, Madonna, Duran Duran, Cyndie Lauper, Kylie, Madness, Bananarama, Culture Club, Dexy’s Midnight Runners, Toni Basil, Kim Wilde, Soft Cell, Katrina & The Waves, Dead Or Alive, Human League and lots more besides.
This band are also proud to play the songs that other bands will not touch with a proverbial bargepole, although ‘I Won’t Let The Sun Go Down On Me’ and ‘Fame’ always go down like a (another proverbial) house on fire…….Dare we mention ‘Making Your Mind Up’ or ‘Especially For You’? Maybe not, but they’ll play them anyway and get you waving your hands in the air and singing along as well!
Here’s a list of stuff that you may want to bring along to a Back To The 80s gig:
Disco Inferno (1970’s Disco Set)
Whipping up the audience into a 1970’s-style frenzy of craaaaaazy disco dancing……..
Do you long for the return of Saturday Night Fever? Disco Inferno perform all the classic disco party songs the way they were meant to be heard, and are guaranteed to produce party fever with their infectious energy-ridden performance.
Songs performed include gems from Sister Sledge, Village People, Bee Gees, Abba, Earth Wind & Fire, Gloria Gaynor, Kool & The Gang, Chic, The Nolans (The Nolans? Are they mad?), KC & The Sunshine Band, The Real Thing, Jacksons and lots more. See their complete fantastic set list which is, usefully, on the page marked ‘Set List’ above. Go on, click it, have a look.
The show is extremely dynamic and energetic, and nobody is immune to the beat (which is not too fast…..not too slow…..just perfect for a good old disco boogie).
Disco Inferno can rightly claim to be the most original 1970s disco band around – they have earnt a fantastic reputation on the live circuit with their superb tongue-in-cheek show. Be there or be square, daddy-o!
Licensed to Lounge
Licensed To Lounge play chilled out versions of rock and dance songs. Stuff like Livin’ On A Prayer, Price Tag, Chasing Cars, Mr Brightside, Valerie, Forget You, Take On Me and many other surprises. All performed unplugged with only piano and three vocals. Performing at corporate functions, weddings, birthday parties, both in the UK and abroad….anywhere you’d expect to find jazz, they’ll be there doing the (rather different, cool, and not really jazz) thing.
Promise
If you are looking for a great quality band for your function, you’ve come to the right place! Promise are perfect for smaller venues as they do not use a drummer or bass player – instead, superb quality backing tracks are used (programmed by Kevin himself), created using the latest technology.
Shaken Not Stirred
A few years ago, LICENSED to THRILL were asked to put together a set of James Bond theme tunes for a corporate event. Such was the success of this that they decided to offer it as one of their sets. Many performances later, Shaken Not Stirred has become a very successful theme.
Skool Roolz
Imagine a band dressed in outrageous school uniform (and a headmaster), bouncing around the stage like there’s no tomorrow and playing all the cheesy hits that you used to dance around the handbag to when you were a kid. And playing them damned well. Now imagine your guests dressed in school uniform too (or, alternatively, just laughing at the band’s), boogying across the dance floor with perma-smiles etched on their faces. Unforgettable – this band just should not be allowed!

"We are still buzzing from our wedding last Friday. Everyone said how awesome the band were. People were on the dance floor from the very first song and throughout. The way the lead singer interacted with the crowd and got everyone involved – particularly for Carwash, Love Train and the Oops Up Side Your Head/Long Train Running mash-up was brilliant as it kept the energy pumping. I always knew they would go down a storm but they exceeded even my very high expectations. I am so glad I chose Disco Nights!"
"Amazing!"
"Thank you so much for Saturday. You were all absolutely fantastic and really made the evening and day for us. We have had so much positive feedback about you and so pleased we booked you. You got everyone up dancing – even some of our friends who never dance."
"Many, Many thanks for the great music you and you band played for us last Saturday. Everybody attending thought you were Great. You got everybody dancing and they loved it. You are a STAR."

"We would all like to say a great big thank you, to you and your band you were fabulous! You are all so professional, gifted and talented in every way, playing wonderful music. I have had lots of thank you letters and everyone loved your music. It really made the party special and got people dancing. We are all now recovering and getting back to normal again after such an exciting time. On a personal note I would like to thank you for helping me to have sound for Charles’ speech as without you guys that had been proving impossible, it was a very special moment and surprise for William."
"The band are excellent, the quality of the music is outstanding, the female lead singer is so talented as well as being very friendly. All the band were friendly and very flexible when we ran behind schedule. They are a quality act that all my guests enjoyed. The dance floor was never empty, they made it a truly memorable night. Friends still talk about this band from when we booked them 6 years ago I believe we will have another 6 years of people raving about them!!"
"On behalf of Lisa and myself we would like to congratulate yourself and the band for creating such a memorable night for our wedding on Sept 21st. We were extremely pleased with everything you suggested as far as playlist, and the extra singer we got in at the last minute really paid off. The quality of your group has been commented on over and over again by all that attended. We will have no problem in promoting your services to anyone that is looking for a quality act."
"Everyone enjoyed the night and you guys kept the party going."
"A big thank you to you and the band – a really good time was had by all. I've had lots of comments on how good the band was."
"We have been meaning to email you ever since our wedding day to say THANK YOU SO MUCH for being so brilliant at our wedding. You were all fantastic and created the most amazing atmosphere to ensure that everyone was having a good time. The mixture of genres meant that everyone got up to dance and loads of our guests have made comments since about how great you all were. Thanks for all your support leading up to our big day as well – I know I was a bit mental with all my spreadsheets but I knew I was in safe hands with you and you took it all in your stride which was much appreciated. We have some brilliant memories from our special day and many of them were created by you and your band so please do say thank you to them all from us."
"Excellent group, hit all the right notes, filled the dance floor and played longer than they should have – couldn't have asked for anything more!"
"Another great evening of entertainment by your band, as always many thanks to you for helping make our do a success."
